POSITION DETAILS
- Location: Jacksonville Beach, FL
- Job Type: Full-time (Temporary)
- Start Date: May 19th, 2025
- End Date: July 14th, 2025
- Pay Rate: $18/hr.
- Schedule: Monday - Thursday (8:30AM - 5:00PM) & Friday (8:30AM - 2:00PM)
OVERVIEW
Our team at Staffing with Bliss is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant in Jacksonville beach, FL. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This Medical Assistant will work under the direct supervision of a physician and will be responsible for providing communication, medical procedures, and tasks as delegated by the physician. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical procedures, anatomy, and physiology, and will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer as needed, and directed by physician (EKG, ABI, B12 Injection, A1c, urinary analysis, PT/INR, Rapid Covid/Rapid Flu swabs and FOBt)
- Administer and process orders for respiratory and stool PCR testing
- Answer overflow calls
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Call patients to obtain or provide information as directed by the physician and document in EMR
- Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of medical equipment and examination rooms.
- Exam room preparation and clean up
- Maintain patient records, ensuring all coding is accurate and up-to-date.
- Prepare patients for acute exam and treatment (Includes: weight, temperature, respiration)
- Prepare patients for MDVIP annual exam (Includes: temperature, InBody, hearing screen, vision screen, EKS and include lab results)
- Provide support in emergency medicine situations as needed.
- Take and record vital signs accurately.
KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
- Ability to perform vital sign assessments competently.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
- Computer and EMR knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Experience in outpatient settings preferred; inpatient experience is a plus.
- Positive attitude
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Strong customer service skills
