Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Engraver, Pad Printer, and Label Printer Operator who will assist in managing and performing the work associated with laser engraving, pad printing, and label printing. This includes entering data into Intuitive software and moving work orders from one sequence to the next in the Production departments. The operator will also provide minor support to other departments as assigned by the Production Manager.

Essential Functions

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to be able to utilize and apply it to Corel Draw, Label Soft, and Bartender software. Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Publisher, and Photoshop is a plus.
  • General understanding of manufacturing processes and shop floor product flow. Experience with data entry is a plus.
  • Read and understand Work Orders and Drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
  • Math skills and mechanical skillsets to operate Laser Engravers, Label Printers, and Pad Printers. Training for these machines will be provided.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with others to ensure that daily requirements are met regarding data entry, Laser Engraving, Pad Printing, Labelling, etc.
  • Inspect engraved and printed medical devices for quality defects, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies, utilizing visual inspection techniques and measuring tools as needed.
  • Inspect and test components for defects, damage, or contamination, identifying and addressing issues to maintain product quality and reliability.

Skills/Abilities

  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions to accurately execute engraving and printing tasks according to product requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity, with the ability to perform precise adjustments and manipulations of engraving and printing equipment.
  • Familiarity with quality control principles, inspection techniques, and defect detection methods for evaluating engraving and printing quality.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to achieve production goals and maintain high standards of quality.
  • Ability to read and write English.
