JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Sandblaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting or finishing by using sandblasting techniques. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all work performed. The Sandblaster will work closely with other team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate sandblasting equipment to clean, smooth, or shape surfaces as required.
• Prepare surfaces by removing rust, paint, and other contaminants by hand, pressure washing and eventually sandblasting.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project specifications are met.
• Inspect finished surfaces for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Working overtime on short notice.
• Dependable transportation and good driving record.
• Team player, good communicator.

SKILLS, ABILITIES, & KNOWLEDGE

• Proficient in fixture installation and caulking techniques.
• Experience in masonry work and the ability to restore various surfaces.
• Knowledge of airless paint spraying and industrial painting methods.
• Experience in residential painting is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• 1 year of Sandblasting experience.
