Job Summary
As a Shipper, you will be responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant packaging and shipment of medical devices and related components to domestic and international customers. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a commitment to quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. The Shipper ensures all outbound materials meet quality and documentation standards, coordinating closely with Production, Quality Control, and Customer Service departments.
Essential Functions
- Prepare and package all outgoing products according to specifications and customer requirements.
- Ensure packaging meets medical device regulatory standards and carrier requirements.
- Process shipments using UPS, FedEx, and freight forwarder portals and integrations.
- Create and manage shipping documentation, including tariff codes, commercial invoices, and customs paperwork for international shipments.
- Consolidate and palletize shipments as needed to optimize freight cost and safety.
- Verify outgoing materials against sales orders and packing lists for accuracy.
- Coordinate interdepartmentally with Quality Control, Production, and Customer Service to ensure on-time, accurate shipments.
- Maintain organized records of shipments and tracking information in ERP or shipping systems.
- Comply with DOT and IATA regulations for hazardous or lithium-ion battery shipments.
- Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Support inventory and material handling as required.
