Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Admin. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, and maintaining financial records. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles. MUST HAVE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE.

Responsibilities

  • Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain vendor records and manage vendor inquiries regarding payments and account status.
  • Perform double entry bookkeeping to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable activities.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile accounts payable with general ledger entries.
  • Analyze discrepancies and resolve issues related to invoices or payments promptly.
  • Support human resources with payroll-related inquiries as needed, utilizing systems such as UltiPro or ADP.
  • Stay informed on tax regulations and governmental accounting practices that may impact accounts payable processes.
  • Work closely with the accounts receivable team to ensure smooth financial operations across departments.
  • Answer phones

Requirements

  • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role, with knowledge of corporate accounting practices.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Paychex is preferred; experience with UltiPro or ADP is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and reporting.
  • Understanding of tax regulations and governmental accounting standards is beneficial.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently within deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with vendors and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Must have knowledge/experience within the Construction Industry.
  • Must have proficient computer and phone skills.

Payrate: $18-$20.00/hr

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
