JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Control Technician would be assigned to a leading medical device manufacturer specializing in fiberoptic cables and surgical illumination. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting incoming and outgoing inspections, performing product checks, and ensuring the quality of medical devices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Perform incoming and outgoing inspections on raw materials, components, and finished products according to established procedures.
  • Conduct product checks, including visual inspections, measurements, and functional testing, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Record and maintain accurate inspection data and documentation.
  • Identify and report any non-conformances or quality issues to the Quality Control Supervisor.
  • Assist in investigating and resolving quality issues, including participating in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and quality regulations.
  • Assist in cross-training efforts to enhance team flexibility and knowledge sharing.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in quality control or a related field, preferably in a medical device manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of quality control principles and practices.
  • Forklift certification and experience operating forklifts safely.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in the medical device industry or a regulated manufacturing environment
