We are seeking a Head of Finance to direct all financial operations in a manufacturing company. This senior leadership role is responsible for safeguarding assets, evaluating financial performance, supporting business decision-making, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain internal financial controls to monitor assets, capital investments, and liquidity
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control initiatives across departments
- Serve as the primary liaison with senior leadership and accounting teams regarding monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
- Interpret financial reports and metrics such as asset ratios, break-even analysis, profit margins, and operational costs
- Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, HR, and IT teams to assess ROI and approve budgets for strategic projects
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation for financial audits and compliance with GAAP, FASB, and other regulatory standards
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team; manage hiring, performance, and departmental structure
- Contribute to company-wide strategic planning and decision-making as a key member of the leadership team
- Evaluate and advise on M&A opportunities and inquiries
- Oversee compliance and filing of all Federal and State sales and income taxes
- Lead the relationship with lenders and banks
- Supervise accounting team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including team management
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial modeling, and risk management
- Previous experience with M&A (mergers and acquisitions) in manufacturing, software, or related industry
- Demonstrated ability to drive financial strategy and organizational growth
- Experience working cross-functionally and communicating financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
- High proficiency in financial software, reporting tools, and ERP systems
