Job Overview
The On-site Customer Order Specialist's primary responsibility is to deliver world class customer experience. This includes the handling of all customer inquiries, the timely and accurate processing of customer orders from start to finish.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Remain fully knowledgeable of the policies, procedures and processes.
- Take ownership of customer orders from placement to time of shipment including entering customer orders in system, creating all related documents, researching and arranging shipping, working with warehouse personnel to ensure accurate fulfillment of orders, and compiling order related documents required for billing.
- Promptly answer all customer inquiries, determine customer's needs, and provide solutions for customer to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
- Promptly manage orders based on customer's needs to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
- Promptly manage credits, returns, reshipments, and other needed tasks to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers by accurately assessing needs and providing accurate information in a timely fashion.
- Complete work assignments with a sense of urgency within assigned deadlines and with minimal errors to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
- Identify and analyze facts, weigh options and risks, determine multiple courses of action and draw sound conclusions for the customer and their needs as it relates to customer orders, as well as, the shipping and delivery of orders.
- Conduct both verbal and written communication with customers and internal staff in an effective, appropriate, positive and informative manner in order to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
- Willingly assist others with job assignments, activities, and any other items as needed Assist with clerical and accounting support functions, as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in written composition, business math or other related business classes preferred.
- Minimum 2 years customer service experience, preferably in a distribution environment such as plumbing, water works, or similar industry preferred.
- Prior experience utilizing Microsoft Office software and QuickBooks (QuickBooks Enterprise preferred) to prepare correspondence, develop reports and enter customer order data preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Payrate: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
