Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shipping and Receiving Forklift Operator to join our team. This vital role involves managing the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of inventory within our warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong forklift operation skills, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and a commitment to accuracy in shipping and receiving processes. Responsibilities

• Safely operate various types of forklifts, including reach trucks and pallet jacks, to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to accurately track inventory movements, stock levels, and order processing.
• Assist in order picking, packing, and preparing shipments for dispatch, ensuring all items are correctly selected and packaged according to specifications.
• Support stock replenishment activities by stocking shelves efficiently and verifying inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts.
• Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents or damage.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to optimize space utilization and streamline distribution workflows.
• Perform basic math calculations related to inventory counts, weights, and measurements as needed.
• Assist with order fulfillment tasks such as order picking, packing, and labeling.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all warehouse operations.

Experience

• Proven warehouse experience with a focus on shipping & receiving operations.
• Demonstrated proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments involving order picking & packing for distribution centers.
• Basic math skills for inventory counting, weight calculations, and measurement conversions.
• Knowledge of packaging standards and procedures for safe shipment of goods.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a physically demanding environment.
