Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled LED/Light Source Assembler to join our team. The LED/Light Source Assembler will be responsible for assembling and testing LED and Xenon light sources used in our medical devices, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and performance specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing superior products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions:
- Perform mechanical assembly and integration of components to build LED and Xenon light sources according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and production schedules.
- Handle delicate electronic components and optics with care, ensuring proper alignment, positioning, and connection of components.
- Conduct visual inspections and functional tests of assembled light sources to verify proper operation, alignment, and performance characteristics.
- Identify and address any quality issues or deviations from specifications, documenting findings and initiating corrective actions as needed.
- Complete production documentation, assembly logs, and quality records accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring traceability and documentation of all assembly activities.
- Record test results, inspection findings, and any deviations from specifications, maintaining comprehensive records for regulatory compliance and internal auditing purposes.
- Adhere to safety protocols, operating procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements to minimize the risk of accidents, injuries, and exposure to hazardous materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work environment, including workstation cleanliness, tool organization, and proper storage of materials and components.
Skills/Abilities:
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques commonly used in electromechanical assembly processes.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits and electronic components is advantageous.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to achieve production goals and maintain high standards of quality.
Education and Experience:
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools,
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous assembly experience or manufacturing preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Lift up to 10 lbs.
- Grasping, reaching, and fine motor coordination skills.
- Dexterity for handling small components.
Work Environment:
- This position requires working in a manufacturing environment.
- May involve exposure to chemicals (e.g. alcohol and epoxies) used in the assembly process.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00AM to 3:30PM
